The Ultimate Fighting Championship has added another of Montreal’s own to its upcoming November 17th event in the Quebec city, as today the promotion announced that Patrick Cote will fight Alessio Sakara on the card.

Cote (17-8) will be competing for the first time since July, when he returned to the Octagon and dropped a unanimous decision to Cung Le at UFC 148. The loss ended a four fight win streak Cote had put together, after he was released by the UFC following a October, 2010 defeat to Tom Lawlor.

Sakara (15-9) will be looking to end a two fight losing skid, as the noted striker is coming off back-to-back defeats to Chris Weidman and Brian Stann. The veteran’s loss to Stann was a first round KO at a UFC on FUEL TV card in April.

Prior to the defeats Sakara had won three straight.

UFC 154 will be hosted by Montreal’s Bell Centre and is expected to feature a welterweight fight between champion Georges St. Pierre and interim champ Carlos Condit.

The card will also included a fight between welterweight contenders Johny Hendricks and Martin Kampmann.
