The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to put the finishing touches on the line-up for the promotion’s upcoming January 14th in Brazil, as today it has confirmed two more bouts for the card.

Although UFC 142 has yet to have an official venue and location announced, the event is expected to be hosted by Rio de Janiero’s HSBC Arena.

In the latest welterweight addition for the card,  Mike Pyle will take on fellow veteran Paulo Thiago.

Pyle (21-8-1) will be looking to rebound from a stoppage loss to Rory MacDonald at UFC 133 in August, which ended the Xtreme Couture fighter’s three fight win streak.

Thiago (14-3) is coming off a unanimous decision win over David Mitchell at UFC 134, following back-to-back losses to Martin Kampmann and Diego Sanchez.

At heavyweight, the undefeated Edinaldo Oliveira will make his Octagon debut versus veteran Rob Broughton.

Oliveira (13-0-1) last competed in October, and knocked out Nalzinho Novaes while competing for Minotauro Fights.

Broughton (15-7-1) will be looking to end a two fight losing skid, after losing by unanimous decision to Travis Browne and most recently Philip De Fries.

UFC 142 will be headlined by a featherweight bout between champion Jose Aldo and challenger Chad Mendes.
