Following the news that World Series of Fighting will become the Professional Fighters League, which will have a season format, it’s been revealed the promotion will also offer fighters monthly checks.

On Wednesday it was announced that WSOF is transitioning into the PFL in 2018, and that the promotion’s fighters will compete for a playoff spot, and a $1 million dollar championship purse. Since then, an email that PFL President Ray Sefo sent out to the league’s competitors has been published by MMA Fighting, and it reveals that the organization’s fighters will receive a monthly check. No details regarding how much the checks will be for, however, were included.

The now defunct International Fight League, which featured teams competing for a championship, also paid its fighters monthly.
