Just three days out from his welterweight (170 pounds) fight with Josh Neer (32-10-1) in the co-main event of the first-ever UFC card on FX, knockout artist Duane “Bang” Ludwig (21-11) appears to be in good spirits and primed for battle.

Ludwig, the record holder for the fastest KO in UFC history(11 second TKO (punches) of Jonathan Goulet on Jan. 16, 2006) , had this to say about the meeting with Neer:

“This is going to be a good, old-fashioned street fight right out of the 1930s, when they used to fight for food in the mean streets of New York. I’m trying to say it will be a war, without saying that because everyone says that. But this is going to be a wild fight on Friday night.”

At least he’s trying to be creative and avoid cliches.
