Recovered Robert Drysdale Hoping to Make UFC Debut Soon

Drysdale at the 2007 ADCC

By Kelsey Mowatt

After having to withdraw from UFC 163 in August due to a staph infection, renowned grappler Robert Drysdale has relayed to the promotion that he’s ready to make his Octagon debut.

The 32 year-old light-heavyweight informed Full Contact Fighter that he’s recovered and hoping to hear on his next fight soon. Drysdale had been scheduled to fight Ednaldo Oliveira on August 3rd.

Drysdale has gone 6-0 now in pro MMA, since the former ADCC and BJJ world champion transitioned into the sport in 2010. The Las Vegas fighter and instructor hasn’t fought since April, when he tapped out D.J. Linderman at Legacy FC 19.

The BJJ black belt has won all six of his fights via submission.
