In the wake of having his UFC 153 bout with Vitor Belfort cancelled, Alan Belcher will look to avenge a previous loss to Yushin Okami at UFC 155 on December 29^th. The bout will reportedly be part of the promotion’s year end event, which will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Belcher, Okami bout, which was reported by MMA Fighting, will mark the first time the two have fought since 2006. At UFC 62 that year, Okami worked his way to a unanimous decision win over the fellow vet.

More recently, Belcher (18-6) scored a TKO win over Rousimar Palhares at a UFC on FOX event in May. The middleweight also recently revealed that he is recovering from a fractured spine.

Okami (27-7) recently got back on track, by stopping Buddy Roberts in the second round at UFC 150 in August. Prior to the win, the former number one contender was TKO’d by Tim Boetsch at UFC 144.

UFC 155 will feature a rematch between heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos and former champ Cain Velasquez.
