As Alexander Gustafsson prepares to face Anthony Johnson at UFC on FOX 14, the light-heavyweight has been asked to weigh-in on what’s transpired recently with his former foe, Jon Jones.

Gustafsson attended a media luncheon recently to promote his upcoming bout with Johnson, and the Swedish fighter was asked to comment on Jones, who recently tested positive for cocaine metabolites. According to a report from MMA Fighting.com, here is what Gustafsson had to say about the situation:

“It is bad for the sport, bad for the organization,” said Gustafsson. “We’re supposed to be role models. You’re supposed to stay above that sort of thing.”

“The Mauler” dropped a unanimous decision to Jones in September, 2013, in what was one of the promotion’s more memorable title fights to date.

Gustafsson will fight Johnson on January 24th, and the winner of the bout is expected to secure a title fight with Jones. The latter defended the championship on January 3rd, by earning a UD victory over Daniel Cormier.
