Alexander Gustafsson has reportedly been examined by doctors from the Swedish MMA Federation today, and as feared would be the case, the light-heavyweight has not been cleared to compete at the latest UFC on FUEL TV card.

According to multiple reports, the doctors have ruled that the cut the fighter suffered training is too extensive and as a result, he will not fight Gegard Mousasi as scheduled.

It remains to be seen whether the UFC has been searching for a replacement behind the scenes, as the promotion has not made any official announcement regarding today’s decision.

The news is a huge hit to the April 6th card, as the Swedish fighter Gustafsson was scheduled to face Mousasi in the main event of the Stockholm bound event.
