The UFC’s upcoming, June 15th card in Winnipeg, Manitoba has lost another big name due to injury, as Antonio Rogerio Nogueira is reportedly injured and will no longer fight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua as scheduled.  UFC 161 was also set to feature a bout between interim bantamweight champ Renan Barao and Eddie Wineland, but Barao was forced to withdraw due to a foot injury.

The Brazilian outlet GloboEsporte.com was the first to report Nogueira’s injury, and since then multiple reports have confirmed his withdrawal, which is reportedly due to a back injury.

Although the promotion has yet to name a replacement for Nogueira, former middleweight and light-heavyweight contender Chael Sonnen has offered his services via Twitter.

“@ShogunRua I HEAR BRAZILIAN CHICKEN IS OFF THE MENU. AMERICAN GANGSTER IS STILL AVAILABLE IF YOU WANT TO SEND YOUR WAITRESS OVER,”

Rua will be competing for the first time since last December, when he dropped a unanimous decision to Alexander Gustafsson, after stopping Brandon Vera at UFC on FOX 4 in August.

UFC 161 will be hosted by the MTS Center in Winnipeg, and will be headlined by a light-heavyweight bout between Rashad Evans and Dan Henderson.
