The MMA world is reeling from another unexpected loss, as according to reports, veteran fighter Joe Camacho has passed away at the age of 41.

The former Bellator competitor is believed to have died of a heart attack Monday, according to a report from Sherdog.com. Camacho was pronounced dead at a Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, California.

UFC bantamweight contender Urijah Faber tweeted after hearing the news:

Just got the sad news from @charlievalencia that his brother & my friend & fellow MMA fighter Joe Camacho unexpectedly died today. RIP Joe!

Camacho’s last MMA bout took place in November when he lost by unanimous decision to Cleber Luciano while competing for Bellator.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt made his pro MMA debut in 1999.

Full Contact Fighter would like to extend its deepest condolences and sympathies to Camacho’s family and loved ones.
