Following Alexander Shlemenko’s stoppage victory over Melvin Manhoef at Bellator 133, the fighter has reportedly tested positive for an elevated testosterone-to-epitestosterone ratio, and has been temporarily suspended by the California Commission.

Shlemenko defeated Manhoef on February 13th in Fresno, California, but according to a report from MMA Junkie.com, sources and Bellator have confirmed the middleweight’s test results.

The California Commission has also confirmed with MMA Fighting.com that Shlemenko allegedly tested positive for an eleveated T/E ratio, and that he’s been temporarily suspended. The bout’s result has also been overturned to a no-contest. Shlemenko won the fight by taking out Manhoef with a highlight reel, spinning backfist.

As a result, the 30 year-old Shlemenko is 2-2, with 1 no contest, in his last 5 contests.

The former Bellator champ carries a record of 51-9 and 1 NC.

(Update: According to a follow up report from MMA Junkie, the CSAC has confirmed that Shlemenko has been suspended for two drug violations, however, details regarding the violations were not disclosed)
