Report: Bellator’s Doug Marshall Suspended For Failing Drug Test
By FCF Staff
Doug Marshall has reportedly been suspended by the Pennsylvania State Athletic Commission, after failing the post-fight drug test he was administered, following his Bellator 109 bout with Alexander Shlemenko. The fight took place at the Sands Casino Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and saw Shlemenko score a first round stoppage win.
The suspension was reported first by The MMA Report.com, and other outlets have confirmed the news with the commission. Officials have not disclosed, however, what Marshall tested positive for or how long he will be suspended.
The heavy handed striker had won four straight fights heading into his November 22nd fight with Shlemenko, and locked up a title shot in April by knocking out Brett Cooper.
The 36 year-old Marshall currently carries a record of 18-7.
