On July 17th, Bellator’s welterweight champ Douglas Lima will battle Andrey Koreshkov, but after that, he’s looking to fight again as soon as possible, and for GLORY if need be.

Recently Bellator announced a September 19th card called “Dynamite”, which will take place in San Jose. The event will also be co-promoted with GLORY, and as a result, it will feature several kickboxing bouts. Paul Daley is scheduled to compete in one of those matches.

Recently Lima spoke to MMA Fighting.com about his upcoming bout, and revealed that if he’s healthy, he wants to fight on the card. The 27 year-old fighter was sidelined for much of 2014 and this year due to injuries. When asked if he’d be willing to fight under GLORY rules, in case Bellator doesn’t have another title fight ready for him, Lima said he would love to.

When asked about facing Daley, who he was scheduled to meet under the Bellator banner earlier this year, Lima relayed the following:

“I don’t every run away from fights,” Lima said. “I know he’s a Muay Thai fighter with more than 30 fights in his record, but I would immediately accept this offer. No doubt about it. I would prefer to do this fight under MMA rules, it’s my game, but I would take this fight anywhere.”

Since Lima’s bout with Daley fell through, due to a knee injury the champion incurred, he has said he wants to battle “Semtex” at some point. The latter questioned how seriously injured Lima was when he pulled out of their February 27th bout.

Bellator 140, meanwhile, will be hosted by the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
