Report: Cesar Gracie No Longer Managing Nate Diaz
Lightweight Will Continue to Train With Trainer’s Camp
By FCF Staff
Former number one lightweight contender Nate Diaz has reportedly elected to go with new management, after having his career monitored to date by renowned trainer Cesar Gracie.
According to a report from the UFC Tonight program, Diaz will now be managed by Mike Kogan, who also oversees the careers of notable fighters like Roy Nelson and “King Mo” Lawal. Diaz will, however, continue to train out of the Cesar Gracie camp, which includes his brother Nick, Gilbert Melendez and Jake Shields, among others.
Diaz (16-8) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to champion Benson Henderson in December, after winning three straight bouts to secure a title shot, which included wins over Takanori Gomi, Josh Thomson and Jim Miller.
The 27 year-old-fighter is preparing for a bout with Josh Thomson, which will take place at UFC on FOX 7 on April 20th.
