Last night’s headliner at UFC Fight Night 74 ended on a unsettling note, as Charles Oliveira called off the fight not long into the bout, and now the featherweight has provided some details about the injury.

After Oliveira attempted to take fellow featherweight contender Max Holloway down, he indicated he could not continue while pointing to his neck and shoulder. In a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, “do Bronx” relayed the following:

“I injured my neck in training, but did physical therapy and thought everything was fine,” Oliveira said., “but when I fell against the cage everything went numb, I couldn’t feel my body.”

Oliveira, who had won four straight prior to the fight, also added that he wants a rematch with Holloway.

UFC FN 74 took place in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
