Chris Weidman has repeatedly said he wants to fight at the UFC’s first event in New York City, and it looks like he’s gotten his wish.

The former middleweight champ and fellow contender Yoel Romero have agreed to fight at the November 12th card, according to a report from MMA Junkie.com. Sources close to the situation are reporting that the bout is finalized, although the UFC has yet to announce it.

Weidman (13-1) hasn’t fought since he lost the 185 title to Luke Rockhold last December. The New York fighter was scheduled to face Rockhold at UFC 199, but had to withdraw due to a neck injury.

Romero (11-1) also hasn’t fought since last December, when he decisioned “Jacare” Souza. The decorated wrestler was flagged for a banned substance afterwards; however, Romero’s team was able to demonstrate that the positive test was the result of a tainted supplement.

UFC 205 will be hosted by the iconic Madison Square Garden.
