Report: CM Punk’s UFC Debut Delayed Due to Injury

CM Punk

By FCF Staff

The UFC debut of CM Punk has been pushed back, as the former pro-wrestling star has reportedly incurred an injury, while training with his team, Roufusport.

After the UFC announced it had signed Punk late last year, it was expected he would make his MMA debut before 2015 was over. But, Roufusport head coach, Duke Roufus, has repeatedly said he thought Punk should train for one year before entering the Octagon,

Well, it looks like the 36 year-old’s debut has been delayed even further, as Roufus recently told ESPN that Punk injured his shoulder while training. According to Roufus the injury isn’t believed to be serious, however, and they believe Punk could return to training soon.

Roufus went on to say that he believes Punk will be ready to make his UFC and MMA debut in six to ten months.
