UFC President Dana White

Dana White hasn’t had much to say publicly about the recent news that Anderson Silva allegedly tested positive for steroids, but the UFC President has admitted that the scandal “screwed me up.”‘

Silva returned to the Octagon at UFC 183 last month and earned a decision win over Nick Diaz, but following the bout it was revealed that the legend failed a pre-fight drug test. Silva has denied using PEDs.

White was asked about the subject following last night’s UFC Fight Night 60 card, and here is some of what the UFC President had to say (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“It screwed me up for a few days,” White said, when asked for his reaction upon hearing the news about Silva. “I was messed up for a few days after that. I’ve been a huge Anderson Silva fan, too, but we’ll talk about that on Wednesday.”

The UFC is holding a press conference on Wednesday to discuss the issue of performance enhancing drugs  and what the promotion plans to do regarding the issue.
