Report: Dana White Says Brock Lesnar “Never Coming Back” to UFC

Despite persistent rumors that former UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar might return to the Octagon, the promotion’s President, Dana White, is reporting that the pro wrestler’s fighting days are over.

While appearing on The Dave and Mahoney Morning Show in Las Vegas, White reportedly stated that Lesnar called him recently and relayed that “he’s never coming back.” According to White, Lesnar informed him that his physical condition will allow him to wrestle but not compete in MMA.

Lesnar was sidelined for nearly all of 2010 due to diverticulitis, and following his TKO loss to Alistair Overeem last December, the renowned wrestler announced he was retiring from MMA.

The 35 year-old-fighter finished his career with a 5-3 record.

According to a report from MMA Junkie, White hinted in the interview that he may have been exploring the possibility of putting together a bout between former PRIDE champion Fedor Emelianenko and Lesnar.

The 36 year-old Emelianenko retired this summer after knocking out Pedro Rizzo at a M-1 Global card in Russia.
