Dana White is receiving a huge payout as a result of the UFC’s recent sale for $4 billion, but according to a new report, he’s also going to make a percentage of profits moving forward.
Following the UFC’s sale to WME | IMG and the company’s financial backers, White will remain on in his current capacity as UFC President. But, according to a report from ESPN, sources have informed the outlet what White will also receive 9% of the UFC’s profits. The deal is for five years.
White reportedly owned 9% of the UFC prior to the promotion’s recent sale. If the company was sold for $4 billion, then White stands to make around $360 million for the sale.
The previous majority owners, Lorenzo and Frank Fertitta, will not play any role in the UFC moving forward.
