Dana White has frequently argued that if the price is right, teammates will fight each other, and the latest pairing he’s been asked to weigh-in on is TJ Dillashaw and Urijah Faber.

Dillashaw and Faber are teammates out of the renowned Team Alpha Male gym in Sacramento, California, and the latter has said it would take a “billion dollars” to make a fight happen.

Although Faber was stopped by Renan Barao in February, the decorated vet remains a contender and is positioned at #2 in the UFC’s bantamweight rankings.

Following Dillashaw’s successful title defense over Joe Soto at UFC 177 this weekend, White was asked whether he believes the champion and Faber would fight. Here is some of what the UFC President had to say (quote via MMA Junkie.com):

“Everybody believes they can beat each other in the back of their minds because they all train together. But when it comes down to it, Faber would 100 percent fight him for way less than a billion dollars, and T.J. would fight him. It’s like Rory MacDonald is in GSP’s house, meaning his gym and everything. He’s not going to run around saying, ‘Yeah, I want GSP for the belt.’ There’s a time and place and a way to do that. You’re never going to hear guys say it publicly. They would never do that.”

White also noted that Faber has to work his way back into position for a title shot, but argued if he does, he and Dillashaw would fight.
