Not long after it was revealed that Jon Jones has been fined and sentenced to community service, for the part he played in his August brawl with Daniel Cormier, the latter has also been disciplined.

On Tuesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission fined Jones $50,000 and sentenced him to 40 hours of community service, for the highly publicized incident.

According to a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, the commission has fined Cormier $9,000, and sentenced the heavyweight to 20 hours of a community service for his role in the brawl.

Cormier’s fine represents 10% of his scheduled purse for his bout with Jones, which is equivalent to the percentage the latter was fined, who will collect a base pay of $500,000.

Like Jones, Cormier also apologized for the incident, which took place at a press conference in early August. Footage of the brawl quickly went viral and was picked up by many mainstream media outlets.

Cormier and Jones are scheduled to fight on January 3rd at UFC 182.
