By FCF Staff
After taking some time to assess what steps he should take to repair his injured knee, Daniel Cormier has reportedly opted to undergo surgery.
A recent MRI revealed that Cormier has a significant tear in his LCL, and is missing 50% of his anterior-cruciate-ligament.
According to the latest edition of “UFC Tonight”, Cormier will undergo surgery to repair his knee in early July. Cormier will do so after he takes on Chris Pendleton in an amateur wrestling match on July 5th, at the UFC 175 Fan Expo.
The 35 year-old Cormier, who is coming off a victory over Dan Henderson in May, is expected to face the winner of the September 27th, Jon Jones-Alexander Gustafsson fight.
The light-heavyweight has won four straight fights since joining the UFC and has gone 15-0 to date in MMA.
