The UFC has suspended Dave Herman for six months and mandated that the heavyweight must complete a drug rehabilitation program, after the fighter tested positive for marijuana following his UFC 153 loss to “Minotauro” Nogueira.

According to multiple reports Herman will also have to pass a drug test upon the conclusion of his suspension.

This marks the second time Herman has failed a drug test due to the presence of marijuana. Last October he was removed from a scheduled bout with Mike Russow  for failing a pre-fight test.

The 28 year-old fighter has lost three straight fights and is 2-3 in his last five.

The UFC conducted its own drug testing following its October 13th card in Rio de Janeiro, in the absence of an athletic commission.
