Report: Duane Ludwig Fires Back at Urijah Faber After Latter’s Accusations

Urijah Faber

By FCF Staff

The well documented rift between Urijah Faber and Duane Ludwig continues to get wider, as the two have had another heated exchange through the media.

Since Ludwig left the Faber led, Team Alpha Male, both men have been relayed that they didn’t see eye-to-eye on various issues. This past summer, however, things got more intense, after Ludwig argued that TJ Dillashaw was the only member of TAM with the drive to become champion. Dillashaw continues to train with Ludwig, who later, apologized for the comment.

More recently, Ludwig has claimed that Faber did not pay him what he was initially offered, to coach the Sacramento based team. In a follow up interview with “The MMA Hour”, Faber claimed he was completely transparent with Ludwig all along regarding finances, and accused the retired fighter of mental and physical bullying. Faber also accused Ludwig of attempting to financially exploit the team.

Not surprisingly, Ludwig vehemently denied the allegations in a follow up interview with the outlet. Ludwig argued that Faber has issues with him because he no one “questions him”, and he even opined that the renowned fighter might be a “little bit punchy”. The Colorado coach also argued that what ultimately matters is that the team succeeds.

Faber is scheduled to fight Frankie Saenz at UFC 194 on December 12th.
