Report: Fedor Emelianenko vs. Jeff Monson Scheduled for Nov. 20th

By FCF Staff

The previously announced M-1 Global tilt between Fedor Emelianenko and Jeff Monson will take place November 20th, in Moscow, Russia. The bout’s date and location were announced on Emelianenko’s (pictured) official Twitter account today.

The 34 year-old Emelianenko (31-4) will be looking to end a three fight losing streak, which includes losses to Fabricio Werdum, Antonio Silva and most recently Dan Henderson. Prior to the loss the former Pride champ had gone undefeated in 28 fights.

Monson (42-12) hasn’t competed since June when he lost by unanimous decision to Strikeforce Grand Prix finalist Daniel Cormier. The 40 year-old-veteran had won eight straight fights prior to the defeat.

The upcoming November 20th, M-1 Global card will reportedly be hosted by Moscow’s Olympic Stadium.

The promotion has not announced any broadcast plans for North America yet.
