Report: Floyd Mayweather Offers to Help Ronda Rousey With Her Boxing

Floyd Mayweather and Ronda Rousey have exchanged verbal shots in the past, but following the latter’s KO loss at UFC 193, the decorated boxer has offered his support.

Rousey was brutally knocked out by Holly Holm on Saturday night, in what is widely viewed as one of the biggest upsets in MMA history. Rousey was badly outstruck by Holm–a former boxing champ–and was largely unable to get the fight to the floor. Holm finished the fight with a head kick in round two.

Fight Hype caught up with Mayweather recently, and while discussing Rousey’s loss, “Money” stated:

“I want Ronda Rousey to hold her head up high and don’t let this discourage you. If you need help as far as with boxing, I’m here to help you. It’s all about timing and inches. Her ground game is unbelievable. She’ll be okay. You know, but I’m waiting for the comeback of Jon Jones and the other guy that Jon Jones faced before [Daniel Cormier]. I would love to sponsor those guys. I look forward to working with a lot of MMA fighters as far as teaching them boxing techniques. It’s the little small things in contact sports that can take you to that next level.”

The renowned pugilist also opined that he believes Rousey needs to take some time off to “regroup” and “refocus”. Mayweather is coming off a decision win over Andre Berto in September, and following the fight he announced his retirement.
