Takeya Mizugaki has been booked a new fight for UFC 173, now that his original opponent TJ Dillashaw is fighting Renan Barao, and its reportedly Francisco Rivera.

Recently the UFC announced that Dillashaw will fight the bantamweight champion at the May 24th event, which will go down at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. According to a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, Rivera has agreed to step in and fight Mizugaki.

Rivera (10-2, 1 NC) is coming off consecutive stoppage wins over George Roop and Edwin Figueroa, and is undefeated in six bouts.

Mizugaki (19-7-2) is riding a four fight win streak, which includes decision wins over Jeff Hougland, Bryan Caraway, Erik Perez and Nam Phan.

UFC 173 was set to feature a bout between Lyoto Machida and middleweight champ Chris Weidman. A knee injury forced the latter to withdraw, however, and the fight is now scheduled for July 5th.
