On Thursday, Bellator sent out a press release relaying it’s going to make a significant announcement on Friday, and according to a report, the promotion and GLORY are going to partner up for an event.

The press release didn’t include any specific information, other than to say the announcement will be made tomorrow at 5:15 PM/ET. According to a follow up report from MMA Fighting.com, however, sources have informed the outlet that Bellator and GLORY are going to hold a joint event in September. The card will feature both MMA fights and kickboxing matches, and the venue will have both a cage and ring (the kickboxing bouts will take place in the ring).

The event will be broadcast on SPIKE, since it is the broadcasting partner for both GLORY and Bellator. The report also says that fighters like Phil Davis, Tito Ortiz, Paul Daley and Joe Schilling are expected to fight at the event.

Bellator 138, meanwhile, is set to take place on Friday in St. Louis.
