It looks like the Phoenix bound UFC on FOX 13 card will feature one of Arizona’s top fighters, as Jamie Varner has reportedly agreed to battle Drew Dober at the event.

The upcoming card will be hosted by the U.S Airways Center on December 13th. The event’s headliner has yet to be announced.

News of the Varner-Dober bout, which is expected to be officially announced shortly, was relayed by U.S. Today Sports.

Varner (21-10-1) could be fighting for his UFC roster spot, as the veteran has dropped three straight. Most recently he was stopped by James Krause in May, after Varner suffered an ankle injury in round one and could not continue.

The former WEC champ’s last win took place in 2012, when he decisioned Melvin Guillard at UFC 155.

Dober (14-6) is also looking to get back on track, as the lightweight is coming off losses to Sean Spencer and Nick Hein.
