Despite John Lineker’s difficulties making 125 pounds, and his recent decision loss to Ali Bagautinov at UFC 169, the fighter reportedly has no intentions of moving to bantamweight.

Lineker, who missed weight in three of his first five UFC bouts and needed two attempts to make weight for his bout with Bagautinov, is currently ranked #6 in the flyweight division.

The 24 year-old fighter’s manager, Alex Davis, recently told MMA Junkie.com that “John’s size isn’t compatible with moving up in weight class.” Lineker also relayed in the article that “Everything will be corrected sooner than later”, in terms of his weight cutting issues.

Prior to Lineker’s loss to Bagautinov, the powerful fighter had won four straight, three of which were via TKO or knockout. The Brazilian flyweight has gone 4-2 in the UFC to date.
