After two previous dates fell through, Jon Jones and Glover Teixeira reportedly have been booked to fight at UFC 171 on March 15th. The card will be hosted by the city’s American Airlines Center.

News of the fight’s date was reported on Wednesday night’s “UFC Tonight” program, which cited UFC President Dana White as a source.

Jones and Teixeira were originally expected to fight at UFC events set for February, however, Jones decided to postpone the bout due to nagging injuries. The light-heavyweight champ has relayed that his foot has been bothering him, after earning a hard fought decision win over Alexander Gustafsson in September.

After facing Gustafsson at UFC 165, Jones (19-1) elected to fight Teixeira (22-2) next, who is riding a 20 fight win streak. Most recently, the well rounded fighter stopped Ryan Bader in the first round at UFC Fight Night 28 in September.

No other bouts have been formed yet for UFC 171.
