Jon Jones

By FCF Staff

Following the issuing of an arrest warrant for Jon Jones, the Albuquerque police are reporting that the UFC light-heavyweight champ has made arrangements to turn himself in.

On Sunday, it was reported that Jones was being sought for questioning, following a hit-and-run incident in the New Mexico city. Then, it was revealed Jones had been upgraded to a suspect in the incident, which sent a pregnant woman to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

According to new reports, the woman has suffered a broken arm in the accident, and authorities have confirmed that Jones intends to turn himself in. Since the woman has reportedly incurred a more serious injury, Jones could be facing a felony charge of hit-and-run.

Police also reportedly found a pipe containing marijuana in the vehicle Jones was allegedly driving.

Jones is currently scheduled to fight Anthony Johnson on May 23rd at UFC 187.

(Update: according to a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, Jones has turned himself in and is now in police custody)
