Just days before UFC 149 takes place in Calgary, which was the original card that Jose Aldo was scheduled to fight Erik Koch, the promotion has reportedly announced that the two will finally fight, October 13th at UFC 153.

The featherweight champ Aldo was forced to withdraw from UFC 149 due to a leg injury, and after news of his withdrawal surfaced, the UFC announced that the title fight would be postponed.

UFC 153 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Aldo (21-1) hasn’t fought since January when he knocked out Chad Mendes in the first round at UFC 142. Prior to that, at UFC 136 last October, Aldo worked his way to a unanimous decision win over Kenny Florian.

The 25 year-old-fighter is currently riding at 14 fight win streak.

Koch (13-1) has worked his way into a title fight by winning four straight bouts. Most recently, the Roufusport fighter earned a unanimous decision winner over TUF 12 winner Jonathan Brookins in September.

Since the 23 year-old-fighter moved over from the WEC, Koch has also scored a knockout win over Raphael Assuncao in the Octagon.
