Report: Manager Says Gray Maynard Plans to Continue Fighting
By FCF Staff
Although Gray Maynard is coming off his fourth stoppage loss, in his last five fights, the former lightweight contender reportedly plans to continue fighting.
Following the 35 year-old’s TKO loss to Ross Pearson at UFC FN 47 last weekend, there has been widespread debate as to whether Maynard should call it quits.
The fighter’s manager has reportedly told “UFC Tonight“, however, that Maynard isn’t planning on hanging up the gloves. According to the report, the decorated wrestler will undergo medical testing shortly, to ensure he is healthy and fit to fight.
Since Maynard was knocked out by former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar in October, 2011, he has gone 1-3. “The Bully’s” only win during that time came against Clay Guida in June, 2012, which was via split decision.
