Report: Manny Pacquiao’s Advisor Says Fighter Has New Deal Coming With Nike, Says Company “Amused” By Dana White’s Recent Comments

Although Jon Jones and Nike are going into business with each other, it does not mean that the sporting goods giant will no longer be working with Manny Pacquiao, according to the boxing star’s advisor Michael Koncz.
Recently UFC President Dana White relayed to MMA Weekly that he believed Nike was discontinuing its Pacquiao line, despite the fact it “was selling like hotcakes.”
According to a report from Boxing Scene.com, however, Koncz says that Nike has not in fact dropped Pacquiao as a client and that new a line of goods are in the works.
Koncz also claims in the article that Nike executives found White’s recent comments “pretty amusing.”
Jones and Nike recently reached a multi-year, endorsement and product line agreement, as the UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion continues to prepare for his September 1st bout with Dan Henderson.
The 25 year-old Jones is expected to wear some of his new Nike gear at the UFC 151 event.
