Report: Mark Hunt and Stefan Struve Have Agreed to UFC on FUEL 8 Bout in Japan

The UFC’s upcoming March 2nd event in Saitama, Japan will feature a fighter who is no stranger to Japanese fans, as according to reports K-1 and PRIDE vet Mark Hunt has agreed to fight Stefan Struve that night.

The bout, which will be part of the UFC on FUEL 8 card at the Saitama Super Arena, was reported first by MMA Weekly.

Hunt (8-7) will be looking to extend a three fight winning streak which includes victories over Chris Tuscherer, Ben Rothwell and most recently Cheick Kongo, who the 38 year-old stopped in February.

The fast rising Struve (25-5) has won four straight fights, which includes wins over Pat Barry, Dave Herman, Lavar Johnson and most recently Stipe Miocic.

The 24 year-old heavyweight TKO’d Miocic in the second round at a UFC on FUEL card in September.

The UFC has not made any official announcement regarding the reported fight.
