It looks like the UFC’s next trip to Australia could feature one of the region’s biggest names, as according to reports, a bout between Mark Hunt and fellow heavyweight contender Stipe Miocic is in the works.

The UFC is expected to hold an event in Adelaide, Australia, on May 10th, and according to a report from Combat Press, the promotion is hoping to book Hunt-Miocic for the event. Sources have also informed MMA Fighting.com that the fight is being planned.

Hunt (10-9-1) is coming off a stoppage loss to Fabricio Werdum in November, after the New Zealand born fighter KO’d Roy Nelson in September. The punishing striker is currently ranked #5 in the UFC’s heavyweight division.

Miocic (12-2) is also coming off a defeat, as the American was decisioned by former champ Junior dos Santos in December. Miocic, who had won three straight bouts heading into the card, is ranked #4.
