(Updated) Report: Mark Hunt Wants Half of Brock Lesnar’s Purse or UFC Release
By FCF Staff
Following the news that Brock Lesnar has been flagged for a potential, anti-doping violation, Mark Hunt has reportedly submitted a considerable demand to the UFC.
On Friday, the UFC announced that Lesnar failed an out of competition drug test, leading up to UFC 200. At the July 9th event, the pro-wrestling star decisioned Hunt.
According to a follow up post on Hunt’s official website, he has informed the UFC that he wants half of Lesnar’s purse for the bout, or his release from the promotion. Lesnar was paid $2.5 million for the bout, and that total does not include any pay-per-view dividends he received.
The report says that the UFC has yet to respond to Hunt’s demand. Prior to UFC 200, Hunt stated he believed Lesnar was “juiced to the gills”.
Update: since Hunt’s interview, the fighter has posted the following tweet below:
Well I wanted half but have changed my mind cheaters shouldn't get shit I want all of it cheaters don't deserve shit #cheatersdeservenada
