Report: Matt Hughes And Chuck Liddell no Longer UFC Employees
By FCF Staff
In October it was reported that the UFC’s new ownership was proceeding with a series of layoffs, and it now looks like Matt Hughes and Chuck Liddell have been let go.
Since WME-IMG purchased the promotion for a reported $4 billion dollars earlier this year, the company has been reducing its payroll. According to a new report from MMA Fighting.com, both Hughes and Liddell have been laid off.
The former welterweight champ Hughes confirmed to the outlet that he’s no longer working for the company. The former light-heavyweight champ Liddell couldn’t be reached for comment.
Hughes was working as the vice president of athlete development and government relations, and Liddell was the executive vice president of business development.
