Report: Matt Riddle’s Legacy FC Contract Bought Out By Bellator

Matt Riddle

By FCF Staff

It appears as though UFC veteran Matt Riddle is heading to Bellator, as the fighter’s Legacy FC contract has reportedly been bought out by the Viacom property.

According to report from AXS TV’s “Inside MMA”, as well as a follow up report from MMA Junkie.com, Bellator has acquired the 27 year-old vet from Legacy FC. Riddle was scheduled to fight Artenas Young at the latter’s July 19th event in Houston, Texas.

Riddle (7-3) was released by the UFC after testing positive for marijuana use earlier this year, following his split decision win over Che Mills at UFC on FUEL TV 7 in February. Riddle also tested positive for marijuana after defeating Chris Clements at UFC 149 last summer.

The welterweight is a licensed medical marijuana user in Nevada.

Bellator has not made any official announcement regarding Riddle’s reported signing.
