The Ultimate Fighting Championship has had another bout cancellation the day of an event, as the promotion announced this afternoon that Jamie Varner will no longer fight Melvin Guillard due to illness. The bout was scheduled to be on the main card of tonight’s TUF 16 Finale in Las Vegas.

Although Varner was reportedly vomiting in his locker room prior to today’s event, Guillard relayed to FUEL TV that the vet’s withdrawal was “very cowardly” and that he didn’t believe the lightweight wanted to fight.

In addition, Guillard also claimed that Varner’s camp asked the athletic commission to check the TUF vet for grease.

Later on, the UFC announced that the fight has been moved to the upcoming December 29th, UFC 155 event in Las Vegas.
