Melvin Guillard was scheduled to fight Ozzy Dugulubgov this Friday at World Series of Fighting 20, but according to reports, the promotion has pulled the UFC vet from the card.

The 32 year-old fighter, who was narrowly defeated by WSOF lightweight champ Justin Gaethje in November, has reportedly failed to provide his medicals for Friday’s card. As a result, WSOF has pulled Guillard from the event, and Lucas Montoya has been moved into the bout with Dugulubgov.

News of the switch was reported by MMA Junkie.com and WSOF has re-tweeted the change. In the aforementioned report, WSOF President Ray Sefo also claimed that Guillard hasn’t responded to the promotion’s recent attempts to contact him.

All this comes not long after Guillard was heavily critical of WSOF, during an interview he did with Submission Radio. Guillard is reportedly upset with how the promotion has treated him, since he failed to make weight for his WSOF 15 bout with Gaethje. Guillard, who was fined 50% of his purse, claims the organization did not offer him a bout earlier this year as promised.

Guillard also missed weight for his WSOF debut last July, when he stopped “JZ” Cavalcante. The powerful striker is 2-2 with 1 no contest in his last 5 fights.

WSOF 20 will be hosted by the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut.
