Mike Pierce will look to extend his winning streak to four versus David Mitchell, as a welterweight bout between the two is reportedly in the works for UFC 162. The July 6th card is set to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will feature a middleweight bout between champion Anderson Silva and challenger Chris Weidman.

Although the UFC has not announced the Pierce, Mitchell match-up, the fight is reportedly being scheduled according to MMA Junkie.

Pierce (16-5) is coming off consecutive wins over Carlos Eduardo Rocha, Aaron Simpson and Seth Baczynski, after losing by split decision to Josh Koscheck.

Mitchell (12-2), meanwhile, scored a unanimous decision win on Simeon Thoresen at UFC on FOX 6 in January, after dropping back to back bouts to T.J. Waldburger and Paulo Thiago.

Some of the other bouts scheduled for UFC 162 include Chan Sung Jung vs. Ricardo Lamas, Tim Boetsch vs. Mark Munoz, Dennis Siver vs. Cub Swanson and Frankie Edgar vs. Charles Oliveira.
