Report: Nick Diaz Promises to Give Johny Hendricks an “A– Whooping”
By FCF Staff
Not only did Nick Diaz announced at UFC 171 this past weekend that he’s ready to fight again, but the outspoken welterweight is calling for a fight with newly crowned champ Johny Hendricks.
At the UFC 171 weigh-ins Diaz was spotted heckling Hendricks, and in a post fight interview with Sportnet’s Joe Ferraro, the long time contender stated:
“Johny Hendricks, take an ass-whooping right to your face, bro, worse than tonight. You got your ass whooped (by Robbie Lawler),” said Diaz.
The 30 year-old went on to say he isn’t interested in fighting a top contender like Rory MacDonald or Hector Lombard first, before arguing Hendricks-Diaz is the fight to make.
“Everybody’s going to make more money, fans get to see what they want to see.”
The BJJ black belt also added that he has no “beef” with Hendricks, and that he thinks the champion is a “nice guy.” Diaz added that his desire to fight Hendricks is “all business.”
Diaz hasn’t fought since UFC 158 last March, when he lost by unanimous decision to Georges St. Pierre. Prior to that, Diaz lost by UD to Carlos Condit at UFC 143 in 2012.
