Report: Roger Gracie Still Uncertain About Future
By FCF Staff
After being released by the UFC, following a decision loss to Tim Kennedy last July, Roger Gracie remains uncertain about what’s next.
The world class grappler and Strikeforce veteran apparently hasn’t decided whether he intends to continue fighting or focus on jiu-jitsu.
Gracie recently told MMA Fighting.com that “(I don’t know) if I’m going to retire, go back to jiu-jitsu or fight MMA. This is my dilemma. I’m taking my time to make up my mind, I don’t want to rush it. I will make a decision in the coming weeks. I can’t let the time pass or I can’t do one thing or another.”
Prior to facing Kennedy, Gracie (6-2) had scored back-to-back wins over Keith Jardine and Anthony Smith. The only other man to defeat the 32 year-old is “King Mo” Lawal.
Gracie added that he feels he’s too young to retire, but that he hasn’t decided which direction to take. The Brazilian also noted that his manager has received “a lot of offers.”
