Ronda Rousey has repeatedly praised the UFC and its business practices since she joined the organization, but the bantamweight champ has made an interesting comment regarding fighter compensation.

Rousey held a media event yesterday in Glendale, California, to promote her upcoming, February 28th bout with Cat Zingano. The 28 year-old star was reportedly asked about fighter pay, and here is some of what Rousey had to say (quote via MMA Fighting.com):

“I think that they should get paid more than the ring girls,” Rousey said. “And I don’t know if the ring girls get paid too much or the fighters don’t get paid enough. But yeah. There’s definitely a lot more in what the fighters do than what they do. So, I think that’s one thing that’s unfair.”

How much UFC Octagon girls like Arianny Celeste and Brittney Palmer make hasn’t been disclosed publicly by the promotion. Rousey went on to add that she’s happy with her current compensation package, and also argued that the UFC is not a monopoly, since Viacom is the parent company for Bellator.

Rousey-Zingano will headline UFC 184, which will be hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
