Recently former UFC welterweight champ Georges St-Pierre said athletes on performance enhancing drugs are like a “biological weapon” and now the promotion’s bantamweight champ, Ronda Rousey, has made similar comments.

Rousey, who is set to fight Cat Zingano at UFC 184 on February 28th, recently spoke with Yahoo Sports and was asked to weigh-in on the Anderson Silva situation. The former middleweight champ allegedly tested positive for steroids leading up to his decision win over Nick Diaz at UFC 183.

After noting that she was “heartbroken” by the news, Rousey proceeded to relay in the interview:

“People need to realize that is a weapon and they’re bringing a weapon into the cage and they’re making our sport unsafe,” said Rousey. “The day that a person dies in that Octagon and the person who killed them tests positive for performance-enhancing drugs, we’re going to have our first homicide case. It’s going to destroy the whole sport.”

Silva, who has denied using PEDs, is set to appear in front of the Nevada Commission on February 17th.

UFC 184 will be hosted by the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
