UFC Fight Night 27 has lost a compelling bantamweight bout, as according to reports Sara McMann has been forced to drop out of the August 28th event, and will no longer fight Sarah Kaufman as scheduled.

MMA Junkie.com was the first to report McMann’s withdrawal; however, the reason why has yet to be determined. A replacement for the Olympic wrestling Silver Medalist is being sought.

McMann (7-0) made his Octagon debut at UFC 159 in April and stopped Sheila Gaff in the first round.

Kaufman (16-2) will be making her promotional debut, after the Strikorce vet and former champ scored a split decision win over Leslie Smith at Invicta FC 5.

UFC Fight Night 27 will be hosted by the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, and will feature a bout between welterweight contenders Martin Kampmann and Carlos Condit in the main event.
