Report: Scott Coker Says Bellator Could Have 24 Shows in 2016

If you think there’s been a ton of MMA to follow in 2015, it sounds like 2016 is going to feature even more big stage events.

The UFC continues to run an extremely busy schedule, but Bellator has held less events this year, after ending its focus of the tournament format.

Well, recently Bellator President Scott Coker spoke with MMA Junkie.com, and the veteran promoter relayed the organization plans to hold 22-24 events in 2016. In 2015 they are promoting 16.

Coker also said Bellator will hold 7 “tent pole” events instead of four, and that the promotion plans to hold some international cards as well.
